Science books to inspire kids
Want to learn more about minibeasts?
A lot of research went into this book. I read a giant stack of science papers while learning about these amazing creatures. But before I could read them, scientists had to do the research and write them. I am so grateful to all the researchers who discovered and then shared what they know about these fascinating creatures.
If you’d like to check out some of the papers, here’s a partial list. Science papers are full of cool information, often contain neat photos and drawings, and might just spark you to do more of your own research.
I’m also grateful to the scientists who took precious time away from their research to answer my questions: Patrick Abbot, Marianne Alleyne, Malcolm Burrows, Claudia Copley, William Gilly, Jake Goheen, Zoe Richards, William A. Shear, Sandra Treffkorn, and Nerida Wilson.
